The "Dr. von Clemm" has to be
one of the most interesting Bavarian steam locomotives ever built. It
was designed for express service throughout Bavaria. Its unique 6-4-2-wheel
arrangement is truly different. It had two pistons up front which powered
six-helper wheels, and it had large pistons in the rear which powered
the four larger drivers. The helper wheels got the locomotive started.
Micro Metakit will produce two versions: #00200H will have a dark blue/gray
and black livery and #00201H will have a purple violet/black and red
livery. The model will have a brushless bell motor, full interior cab
details, functional boiler hatch with inner boiler detail and much more.
Both versions are truly unique and by far the most interesting Bavarian
steam locomotives ever produced, the "Dr. von Clemm" will be delivered
in the summer of 2001.
