Model Details:
Prototype: Since 1924 coal transport between Ruhr and northern Italy increased steadily, determining needs for new electric locomotives able to pull trains of 500 tons at 50 km/h on the ramps up to 27 mm/m. Trains manufacturers Sécheron from Geneva and Breda from Milano made a rails monster with wheel arrangement (1Co)(Co1), weight of 140 tons with power of 4500 HP. They made constant service until the eighties, but unfortunately all of them were scrapped, and no “Breda” has been preserved. Epoch II
