Class 155 electric locomotive of PRESS Single-arm pantograph, blue livery | with multi-protocol sound decoder
The Class 155 experienced a second career in freight transport with PRESS (Pressnitztalbahn). After DB AG sold its former DR locomotives to Railpool starting in 2018 and later retired them, several locomotives ended up with private railway undertakings such as PRESS.
Thanks to their robustness and high starting tractive effort, they continue to be used there in heavy freight service, especially on east-west lines and in traffic towards the Czech Republic. Their striking blue livery also makes them popular subjects for photographs. Technically, the PRESS locomotives differ in their rectangular buffers and single-arm pantographs, features that have also been correctly implemented in the Arnold models.
