Prototype: The M3 Scout Car was an armored car produced by the White Motor Company beginning in 1940 and remained in production until 1944. Initially designed for the United States Cavalry, the car had fixed all-wheel drive, was powered by a 110 hp 6-cylinder inline engine, and had a top road speed of 55 mph. Armor protection was light with only 6 mm on the sides and 13 mm on the windshield; the top of the car was completely open. There was room for seven infantries plus the driver or the car could accommodate two stretchers plus medical staff in an ambulance role. Armament consisted of a .50 cal. Browning machine gun mounted above the windshield and one or two .30 cal. Browning machine guns mounted on skate rails on the sides or rear of the car. The M3 Scout Car did not last long in American service, although over 20,000 were build. Its open top and light sides made it vulnerable in its intended reconnaissance role and it was replaced in US service beginning in 1943 by the 3-axled M8 Greyhound armored car. The M3 car was widely used by other Allied nations throughout the war however.

PLEASE NOTE: These models are all handmade and painted which makes every one unique. This means the paint patterns may vary a little and the detail parts like sandbags, turret tracks, antennas, etc. may also be arranged differently. This was also the case in real life. These models are very prototypical.
