Artitec 87.031 Highlights:
Model: Artitec's 387.74-WY 1/87 scale Porsche Turret is a resin kit and unpainted.
Prototype: The first 50 production Tiger IIs had a turret with a commander’s cupola that bulged out to the left, a rounded front, and steep sides. This was referred to as the “Porsche Turret” because it was falsely believed that Ferdinand Porsche, who had conducted design work for both Tiger tank projects, had designed it. This turret was produced by Henschel but discontinued it in favor of a simplified version (standard production version) that could be more easily and quickly manufactured.
