    Prototype: To transport tar and tar oils, the Deutsche Reichsbahn also used pre-war tank cars after the introduction of the computerised numbering system. However, these were only used for domestic transport. The tank of the vehicles equipped with steering axles was divided in the middle and had a capacity of 45,000 litres.
