Product Features and Details
In the early days, the DB had a massive shortage of freight cars. It therefore had no option but to use all existing materials for as long as possible. Vehicles were transported on old, otherwise no longer serviceable freight cars that had been converted to flat cars by removing their boarding. The designation of all these flat cars was Xf 08, even though they had very different wheelbases and lengths over buffer. Some of these
flat cars were still in service during the nineteen sixties.
