Even during the 1950's, the quantities of coal and coke hauled by rail was enormous. One such train, which would have run over the tracks of the colliery collectives of the period - nowadays valued as a World cultural heritage - has been reproduced by FLEISCHMANN. The rolling stock carries the lettering of the Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks AG (GBAG), which belonged to the colliery union. The loco E 1 ("E" stands for 5 driven axles) hauls four and two axled trucks carrying three or four riveted coal tubs.
