The Model: Containing: 1 tender loco E1 (otherwise technical details as per 1096) of the GBAG, with load-controlled decoder for conventional or digital operation, goods wagons as per set 485101. The vehicles are fitted with PROFI-couplings. Two individually packed hoop-type couplings NEM 360 are included. Wagons with non-isolated wheel sets.
Based on: Even during the 1950's, the quantities of coal and coke hauled by rail was enormous. One such train, which would have run over the tracks of the colliery collectives of the period - nowadays valued as a World cultural heritage - has been reproduced by FLEISCHMANN. The rolling stock carries the lettering of the Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks AG (GBAG), which belonged to the colliery union. The loco E 1 ("E" stands for 5 driven axles) hauls four and two axled trucks carrying three or four riveted coal tubs.
