2-piece set of RENFE "Estrella Galicia" passenger cars, types BBL-9600 and DDE-10400, in Estrella livery, with orange doors. The RENFE 9600 series cars entered service in 1984/85 and are considered a transitional series to more modern passenger cars. They have a corrugated roof and a side corridor with compartments. The 60 BBL-9600 couchette cars were built under SNCF license, were similar in features and appearance to the 10000 series, and had ten compartments with convertible couchette/seat berths. In addition, the series included 15 DDE-10400 type cars with a mail compartment and a service compartment for the train manager. These had a continuous side corridor and were also externally and in terms of color based on the 10000 series.
