    In 1928 Hanomag delivered a series of 10 loco- motives type 81 for the heavy shunting service that matched the smaller machines of the series 80 for the large part. During their DB time the locomotives were mainly used in the Oldenburg area. One loco- motive has been preserved at a locomotive museum for the posterity. The 11 m long locomotive had a power output of 860 PS.
