Apron dining car, type WRüge, of the German Federal Railroad.
- Epoch IV version in ocean blue-beige paint
From 1936 onwards, the German Reichsbahn Company put streamlined express train cars into service. Windows and doors were completely flush with the outer wall of the car, the side walls were extended beyond the actual end of the car and pulled down between the bogies. The “skirt cars” achieved a significant reduction in air resistance. In 1974, eight apron dining cars were given an ocean blue-beige paint job.
