Design in the design of the “White Lady”
The “White Lady” is an iconic name associated with the classic East German locomotives of the 143/243 series. It became the nickname of the white-red painted production prototype – the 212 001 (later 243 001). Now the classic paint job (also the 143 117 it wore for a short time) has reappeared for the third time – this time for the locomotive 243 822 (143 822), which is now the property of the Karsdorf vehicle plant.
