The 185.2 series is an electric dual-system locomotive, with crash-optimized locomotive box, by Bombardier Transportation. It can be used on both AC voltage systems which are customary in Europe 15 kV/16 2/3 Hz and 25 kV/ 50 Hz. The first aircraft of this type was handed over to Deutsche Bahn in January 2005. The six units ordered by Green Cargo received the operating numbers 185 401–406 and the normal red DB paint. As compensation for the three units that DB handed over to Green Cargo, the number 401–403 was transferred to DB Schenker Rail Germany.
