Not only because of the newly designed locomotive box, the TRAXX3 from Bombardier are clearly different from their predecessors. For the first time, the side surfaces of an electric locomotive were equipped with a device for clamping tarpaulins on which advertising can be applied.
They are designed for operation on routes with a mains voltage of 15kV/16.7 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz. In addition, the machines equipped with a 180 kW diesel auxiliary engine can travel, track sections without overhead line (Last Mile).
