    The 185.2 series is an electric dual-system locomotive with a crash-optimized locomotive body from Bombardier Transportation. It can be used on both AC voltage systems common in Europe: 15 kV/16 2/3 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz. The first machine of this type was handed over to Deutsche Bahn in January 2005. By 2009, 202 locomotives of the 185.2 series had been delivered to DB AG.
