Product Features and Details
The Sport Prinz, which NSU introduced in 1958, was called cygnet. It is a classic two-seat coupe. It is a classic coupe with two seats. The rear seat is only a thin board with equally thin upholstery, the so-called rumble seat. It resembles the Wankel-Spider but has a fixed roof which could be equipped with a sun roof. Contrary to the Wankel-Spider, it doesn’t feature the typical air inlet vents because the Prinz engine isn’t water-cooled like the Wankel-engine. The chassis and the engine were taken from Prinz I/II, from 1961 from Prinz 4. Originally, the increased power-rated 30 HP engine was scheduled exclusively for the Sport-Prinz, but after a few months only, it was also offered in the Prinz 30 sedan. We now release a Herpa model in the N 1/160 scale as double set.
