Among the SNCF vehicles intended for infrastructure monitoring, car "198" is specifically designed for measurements and tests of communication between train and ground, and more recently, GSM-R technology. It is derived from a former Grand Comfort A3rtu car with a bar and
was originally painted in the Béton 804 livery with red stripes, like other similar measurement cars of that era.
