The Sud Express, introduced in 1887, connected Paris and Lisbon as a comfortable and elegant night train. As a major international train of the post-war period, it was known for its high service standards. Its train consisted of modern DEV stainless steel carriages, complemented by first-class CIWL carriages offering a high level of travel comfort, as well as a CIWL dining car whose kitchen and stylish dining room defined the travel experience.
