Product Features and Details
Prototype: The prototype of the Prussian G 10 is well-known to every model railroader. It is the most important and by far the most widely produced of all covered freight cars. With over 120,000 examples built in real life, the G 10 is not only an important but also a frequently encountered vehicle in all trains from Era I to IV. Even today, various examples are preserved in museums. The prototype for our model is the symmetrical version without a brake van. However, as early as Era II, these wagons were fitted with air brake systems. Some G 10s were also used as so-called "leitungswagen" (brake vans without brakes), where only a brake pipe ran along the underframe, connecting the brake hoses attached to the buffer beam. The rest of the braking system, including brake shoes, was not present on these wagons.
Model: The model from the Classic Edition is made using a mixed plastic construction, featuring accurate detailing and lettering. It is equipped with spring buffers and screw couplers, which can be replaced with KM1 or claw couplers. The wheels are realistically profiled on both sides, and many separately applied parts are included. The brake system is fully replicated, with perforated support beams on the wagon body, and sliding doors that can be opened. The model has a minimum radius of 1020 mm, a length over buffer of 29 cm, and weighs approximately 0.7 kg.
When ordering multiple wagons, please specify the order number and lettering variant. The letters A, B, C, etc., correspond to different wagon numbers.
Only the braked versions feature the complete brake system replica.
