The Alstom Prima EL3U / 4 is an electric locomotive from the French Alstom Prima family of multi-system vehicles intended for use in freight train services. It was designed in such a way that the acquisition and maintenance costs for the railway companies are as low as possible. The locomotives are multi-system capable and can be used with three different power systems. At the SNCF they are classified as type BB 37000. Most of the machines today belong to Akiem, who rent the locomotives to SNCF, Captrain, HSL and other railway companies
