A Dreamlike Model Railroading Trip to the Far North of Europe

Josef Brandl‘s dream layout takes us to the wilderness of Northern Europe. We start our journey at the small station of Myrdal located on the Bergen line. It is the starting point of the spectacular Flams Line which takes us from Myrdal down to Aurlandsfjord at the coast. The line travels 12.5 miles through a wild and romantic landscape to descend more than 2600ft, and passes through many tunnels and crosses spectacular bridges. Josef Brandl’s amazing eye for detail has captured the magnificent country side, the visitors and the station of Myrdal in an amazingly realistic model. High point of the layout (as on the real line) is the 310ft high Kjosfossen waterfall which has also attracted many characters from Norse mythology……
