Product Features and Details
While the Bozen-Verona and Kufstein-Innsbruck routes were already in operation, the overhaul of the 1370-meter-high Brenner Pass was once a real challenge. It was finally completed by 1867, so that in the summer of 2017 the 150th anniversary of this railroad crossing can be celebrated. Yesterday as today, the Brennerbahn is the most important transit route between North and South. While the importance of passenger transport has declined over the decades, more and more international freight trains are rolling over the pass. This special edition of the railway journal editorial team is devoted to the following themes:
- Travel to the South - from TEE to EC
- The Rolling Highway
- Under the banner of Zebras - 15 years of locomotion
Numerous large-format and for the first time published in this special edition the pictures show the Brennerstrecke and the railway operation of the most beautiful Fotopunkten between Kufstein and Verona.
