New for 2026: With the DB BR 184.0 in Era IV, PIKO brings the locomotives known as the "Europe Locomotive" to H0 scale. Equipped for various electrical systems in Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, these locomotives significantly facilitated cross-border traffic.
The PIKO model is a fitting tribute to the locomotive.
Looking at the detailed roof, the delicate metal pantographs immediately catch the eye, mounted on the locomotive roof without any visible screws. The sides are characterized by fine mesh and engravings. Through the cab door, one can see into the meticulously recreated engine room, which is ideally illuminated by appropriate lighting. The cab lighting is also digitally switchable.
Looking under the locomotive body, the bogies are presented with numerous separately applied parts. The overall impression is rounded off by the clean paintwork and the crisp printing.
The PIKO Expert model features a PluX22 interface for easy retrofitting of a decoder.
