Product Features and Details
New in 2024: NS Rh 1100 electric locomotive with blue paint and yellow stems in Era IV. To protect the staff in the event of accidents, the 1100 series locomotives were subsequently given stems that are similar to those of the 1700 series. The PIKO model has sharply engraved bogie panels with realistic replicas of the spring packs and true-to-original replicas of the buffer beams. The lighting is done using LEDs. The driver's cab and engine room lighting as well as the front and tail lights, which function depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy frame made of die-cast zinc and the motor with two large, precisely balanced flywheels ensure excellent driving characteristics and high pulling power. The model has a PSD XP sound decoder with a matching speaker ex works. The model bears the “fits mfx†quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Marklin digital centers, a new quality mark fits mfx was introduced together with Marklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx†logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx.
