Product Features and Details
In the 1920s, the Deutsche Reichsbahn received the first self-unloading hopper wagons for transporting ballast to track construction sites.
The most important innovation on the wagons was a sophisticated system of flaps and chutes with which the loaded ballast could be distributed very specifically next to and between the rails.
When designing the new hopper wagons, PIKO placed the greatest focus on this important property and thus created a model with a very high play value. As with the original, sand and fine gravel can be distributed through different flaps.
