PluX16 Novelty 2024: The PIKO model of the DB E 18 is the first, consistently prototypical large-scale series model of this series on a scale of 1:160. What should be highlighted are the prototypical roof equipment, the pantographs typical of DB locomotives and the finest insulators. All roof cables were made of metal. The fine wheel sets with spring pot replicas are an absolute novelty on a scale of 1:160. The lamps appear in a prototypical shape and size. The powerful engine with two large flywheels ensures that heavy express trains can be transported easily, even in the model, by driving four axles. In addition, two wheels in a diagonal arrangement were fitted with traction tires. The model has a modern PluX16 interface for easy retrofitting of a digital decoder.
