Product Features and Details
Novelty 2025: DB E 44 electric locomotive in Era III in the version with a resistance brake. The miniatures of the preproduction and series locomotives of the later class 144 shine with their exact scale realization. Equally sharp and precise engravings on the body provide enormous three-dimensional depth and underline the excellent overall impression. This is also continued in the running gear area with numerous specially attached parts on the striking bogies. Identical in model quality, the differences between the prototype locomotives have nevertheless been implemented in the model with the greatest possible depth of detail. The model also leaves little to be desired technically: The drive is both proven and robust. The factory-fitted variants with a PSD XP sound decoder with vehicle sound bring the typical “growl” of the Tatzlager drive to the model railroad. In addition, the built-in PSD XP sound decoder can be used to switch lighting in the drivers cab and engine room. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
