Electric locomotive BR 181.2 "Saar" of the DB, epoch IV, AC version

The PIKO model of the 181 213 "Saar" shows all the relevant details of its prototype and convinces with the finest paintwork and printing, raised name plates on the sides, specially attached front handles and door handle bars, sharply engraved bogie trims, fine insulators and pantographs with different contact strips. The lighting is done by LEDs. The standard built-in driver's cab and engine room lights can be switched like the tail lights that function depending on the direction of travel. A powerful five-pole motor with two precisely balanced flywheels that drives all four axes ensures excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model has two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high tensile forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker. Optional attachable brake hose dummies are included with the model.
