E-locomotive BR E 91 of the DB, epoch III
New for 2021: Print version of the BR 191 as E 91 in Ep. III
Electric locomotives with rod drives are among the highlights on the model railway layout. The often archaic exterior and the visible power transmission exude the fascination of past railway epochs. PIKO captured this perfectly and transferred it to a 1:87 scale. The constructive symbiosis of excellent model implementation and excellent driving characteristics characterize the newly developed PIKO E 91. The sharp engravings on the housing, paired with extremely fine printing and garnished with extremely filigree pantographs, make the locomotive a gem. It draws power from a five-pole PIKO motor, two finely balanced flywheels ensure continuous travel even on difficult track conditions. Of course, the model has a light change in LED technology with red rear lighting. Additional lighting functions can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder, a PluX22 interface according to NEM 658 is available for easy installation.
