Product Features and Details
New for 2026: In 1922, a new electric locomotive for the Bavarian branch of the German Reichsbahn was included in the procurement program as Era 5 for demanding passenger train service on electrified lines.
The drive system of the 35 locomotives was divided into two groups, each with two motors. Other particularly striking features of the locomotives are the continuous long frame and the distinctive box-shaped body with chamfered corners. 29 locomotives were transferred to the DB after World War II, with the last locomotive of the class being retired from active service in 1973.
Printed version of the DB Class E52 with black chassis in Era III.
The sound version of the model comes equipped with a PIKO sound decoder including the largest possible speaker.
