Product Features and Details
New for 2022: Variant of the BR 140 in beige-blue paintwork of the BR in Era IV. With the 140 series in Era IV, PIKO is once again turning to an absolute classic of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The bread and butter locomotive achieved great popularity thanks to its high number of units and decades of use. The PIKO model has numerous extras, including free-standing grab bars, digitally switchable cab lighting and the brake hoses included. The five-pole PIKO motor, which drives all four axes, ensures excellent running properties with its two large centrifugal masses and power consumption via eight wheels. In order to ensure high traction, the compact model has a die-cast zinc frame and two traction tires that sit diagonally on the axles of both bogies running inside. The model has all PIKO standards, including a PluX22 interface, light change white / red and close coupling kinematics. The sound variant of the PIKO BR 140 is factory-equipped with an mfx -capable PluX22 sound decoder.
