In the 1960s and 1970s, the V 160 and 216 series were the express train locomotives for lines without contact wire.
The redesign of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in the Piko range, but will also enrich many model railroad systems from epochs III to V with numerous variants.
The development team has implemented the striking shape of the prototype in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a coherent paintwork down to the smallest detail. State-of-the-art LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red / white and the light functions that can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder.
