Natural Stone Ballast is made from actual stone that comes out of a quarry in Germany. The stones are prototypical in design because they have sharp edges, just like the original. Ballast color and shapes match what the German Rail have used in the past and present. The ballast is heavy and is designed to have sharp corners which “hook” into each other to stabilize the roadbed, just like real stones! - Z: 0.006" - 0.012"
