Rivarossi 2535 General Electric U25C Diesel Locomotive
Prototype: The U25C diesel-electric locomotive was the initial foray into the 6 axle locomotive arena by General Electric. They were initially introduced in 1963 and were manufactured until 1965, a total 113 units were made. The U25c's were used on the L&N, Pennsylvania, Atlantic Coast Line, Northern Pacific and Burlington Railroads.
Model: In the 1960s, Rivarossi Model Trains set the bar high for H0 diesel locomotive models with its release of the U25C. The detail and quality was well ahead of its time. Now after almost 50 years, the bar is set higher by reviving a legend from the past with the all new Rivarossi model of the General Electric U25C. This new model has been licensed by and developed with full co-operation of General Electric. The new release incorporates all new state-of-the art tooling to insure the most accurate detailing. The locomotives come with road specific detailing and lighting configurations and separately applied detail parts such as horns, bell, handrails, grab irons and snow plows (if appropriate).
