FS Fiat 500 railcar
with rectangular grille, yellow livery
The smallest H0 model ever produced and available on the market!
The Fiat 500 motor railcar was developed by Fiat in the 1960s as a light rail vehicle for track maintenance. It was based technically and visually on the Fiat 850T van, adopting its front design for purely aesthetic reasons. Powered by a modified two-cylinder gasoline engine from the Fiat Nuova 500 Giardiniera, it was robust, easy to maintain, and widely used (over 180 units). Originally, the vehicles bore discreet FS emblems. Rivarossi reproduces several variants of this iconic vehicle, which exemplifies Italian engineering and post-war railway history.
