IC control cab coach, type Bpmmbdzf 286.3 of the Deutsche Bahn. Completely new design 2023! - Finely detailed windscreen wipers - In actual inscriptions - Elaborate, multicoloured interior fittings - Train route Frankfurt am MainÔÇôWesterland/Sylt - In digital mode with switchable high beam as well as driverÔÇÖs cab and control panel lighting At the beginning of the 1990s, DB began developing control cab coaches for long-distance transit. The initial 75 control cab coaches were built by converting passenger coaches from the Halberstadt production site. After delivery of the first two series, PFA Weiden began production of twelve pressurized IC control cab coaches. These coaches are designated Bpmbdzf 297.3 to distinguish them from the ÔÇ£conventionalÔÇØ type. After the conversion within the scope of the ÔÇ£IC mod overhaulÔÇØ, the control cab coach vehicle number was retained, but its designation became Bpmmbdzf 286.3. The additional ÔÇ£mÔÇØ in the type designation stands for modernisation. This version of all these coaches is still in IC/EC service.
