The modern T2000 rail wagons from railCare, equipped with two permanently installed 45-foot refrigerated containers, replace the sliding-wall wagons previously in temporary use by SBB Cargo. They are specially designed for loading and unloading operations on railway ramps and offer a high level of practicality thanks to their sophisticated design. A three-part loading platform compensates for the height difference to the ramp, which enables maximum flexibility when loading and unloading with industrial trucks. With their noticeable Coop lettering, the wagons have become a familiar sight in Swiss freight traffic and can be seen travelling throughout the country almost every day.They can be used in a wide variety of train compositions and lengths thanks to their versatility. Only three wagons are needed to form a prototypical train in the model, which can be used behind SBB Cargo and BLS Cargo locomotives as well as behind the railCare Vectron "Coop". The longest pure T2000 trains are the so-called ‘water trains’ between Wangen bei Olten and Brig. Depending on demand, 12 to 13 carriages are in regular use.
