The Class Ty2 steam locomotives of the Polish State Railways (PKP) began operating in 1942. They were Class 52 wartime locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. After the Second World War, 1.207 of them remained with the PKP. The Ty2 became the largest locomotive series in Poland until the end of the steam traction era. Several locomotives have been preserved to this day.
