The class Pt 2/3 was a striking example among the light tank locomotives for passenger transport. Its slender boiler, the large distance between the running axle and the coupled wheels (4,000 mm!), and the relatively large driver's cab are its typical features. In addition, a door was built into the rear of the locomotive through which the fireman could enter the train to take over the duties of the conductor.
The Bavarian State Railways put the first locomotives into service in 1909, and the last in 1916. All machines (type 1 B h2, top speed 65 km/h) were delivered by Krauss in Munich.
