Beacon Rail is a rail vehicle leasing company headquartered in Luxembourg. Its core business is the leasing of locomotives and rolling stock to various railway companies in Europe. With the acquisition of Mitsui Rail Capital Europe B.V. (MRCE), the locomotive fleet was expanded by 222 electric locomotives, which previously constituted only a small portion of Beacon Rail's fleet. These include multi-system locomotives of the Class 189, which are gradually undergoing a rebranding program.
