In April 2013, the French State Railways (SNCF) launched a new TGV service called "OUIGO" [wi'go]. Given the success of the low-cost TGV connections, it was decided to apply the same concept to traditional train connections. The first "OUIGO Classic" connections were put on the rails in spring 2022.
Nine locomotives from the BB 22200 series provide traction for the trains and were given the eye-catching foiling. The rolling stock used is 2nd class Corail carriages. As part of the redesign, these were given a storage room for two bicycles at one end of the carriage.
