Large ELITE-slip points with outside slip blades

Large slip points and a crossing angle of 15° - a contradiction in terms? Not at all! Even in original installations, there are no decidedly low-angle slip points, not even with outside slip blades! They all display a turnout ratio of 1:9, just like the smallest standard points (190-1:9). Consequently, this is represented in our system by an angle of 15°, as in the points form EW 2 (r = 484mm). Nevertheless, these slip points, with their generous branch radius of 1.050mm, can still rightfully be incorporated into elegant approach lines, combined with the large points forms EW 1 and EW 3 with radii of 866 and 1.350mm. After all, traveling comfort, as with original rolling stock, is dependent solely on the radius. Suitable links with flatter 12° points can be produced with connecting curves – as in real-life situations where 500-1:12 points are steepened to 1:9. Countless examples are to be encountered in original installations.
