Prototype: German Railroad, Inc. (DB AG / DB Museum Nürnberg, on loan to the IG maintenance facility at Dresden Old Town Volunteer Organization) express steam locomotive, road number 03 001 with a type 2'2 T30 short tender. The locomotive looks as it did around 1999. Version with old design boiler, closed front skirting, and "Wagner" smoke deflectors.
Model: The locomotive has tooling changes. The locomotive and tender frame as well as the tender body are constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a built-in digital decoder and sound generator with the formats mfx and DCC. The drive mechanism is in the tender. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. There is firebox flickering by means of processor-controlled LEDs (red/orange). There are triple headlights on the locomotive and dual headlights on the tender. Warm white LEDs are used for the cab lighting and running gear lights. There is an NEM coupler pocket on the end of the tender. The steam cylinders are new tooling. Special features: Two different pilot wheels with 7 and 9 spokes.
