Advanced locomotive both model and prototype December 15, 2018  Rating: 5
    By Oscar
The locomotive is constructed mostly in metal, with carbody, trucks and underframe in metal. Roof and details in plastic. 2 non-operative, spring loaded pantographs, no power pickup from above. The locomotive have installed the marklin coupler, can be changed if desired. No short coupling kinematics, so an unrealistic gap between buffers will appear. All-wheel drive, with 2 wheels with traction tires. Wheels with NEM profile, will operate in code 83 and 100 rail. LED headlights. Multiprotocol decoder, tested under DCC and worked fine. Decoder with sound, that could be too loud out of the box, can be controlled via CV programming. The painting is crisp and clear. Instruction manual in several languages, including German, French, English and Spanish. A well done model for an innovative locomotive. Recommended for modern era modelers of german railroads.
