Prototype: Four German State Railroad (DR/GDR) type Ks 3300 and Ks 3301 rotary stake cars. Reddish brown basic paint scheme. The cars look as they did around 1980.
Model: All cars have separately applied brake rigging, control elements for brakes, and rotating stakes. One stake on each side of the cars imprinted with the car’s road number. The load surface has the look of wooden planks. There are receptacles at the ends of the car for inserting the stakes included with the car. The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. The type Ks 3300 has separately applied beams and is constructed without a brakeman’s platform and short end stakes. The car has rectangular buffer plates. The type Ks 3301 has separately applied truss rods and is constructed with an end walkway as well as short end stakes. The car has round buffer plates. The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. All cars are loaded with two Skoda LIAZ 706 tractor units. Chock blocks and end stakes are included. Models of the tractors come from Brekina.
