    Marklin 18045 Crocodile Replica

Edition of the first crocodile pattern from Märklin H0 gauge -Preliminary Information
A special piece from our 2024 novelty collection was unveiled at an event in the Märklineum: a precise replica of the first Crocodile locomotive model in HO scale. Originally planned for 1936 and intended to be released under the article number CCS700, it was never launched due to the circumstances of the time, leaving only a prototype. This prototype, which has been on display at the Märklineum for a long time, was initially stored in Märklin's legendary tower room archive. Now, this historical Crocodile model is being made available to our customers. It features an accurate reproduction, including a metal pantograph, visible slot screws, and a hook coupling. State-of-the-art technology, including a digital decoder, has been integrated inside. The prototype will be available from January in a historic cardboard packaging and can be viewed at the Märklineum.

Unique series with certificate of authenticity! The model of the crocodile in H0 was originally planned as early as 1936 and was to be launched on the market under item number CCS 700. However, it remained a prototype - not least due to the circumstances of the time. It was not until 1947 that an H0 model of the crocodile was presented under the number CCS 800 - the later 3015. This is the first edition of the first Crocodile prototype ever produced by Märklin for the H0 gauge from 1936. The chassis and superstructure are made of die-cast zinc. Both bogies powered with blind shafts and coupling rods. The mfx decoder is factory-installed so that the locomotive can also be used on today's layouts. Due to the reproduction of the historic design, sufficient clearance must be guaranteed. Light change, analogue operable. Spring-loaded roof pantographs without electrical function.
    Length over buffers 21 cm.
