One hour before landing, a delightful breakfast will be served to energize you for the day ahead. Once you've completed the immigration and customs procedures, you'll proceed to board a train bound for Esslingen. Upon arriving at your destination and checking into the hotel, the remainder of the afternoon will be yours to enjoy at your leisure. Take this opportunity to explore the surroundings, engage in activities of your choice, or simply relax and rejuvenate. At 7:30, we will gather for a dinner to warmly welcome everyone and kickstart our adventure together. Following the meal, many of you may choose to retire for the night, replenishing your energy for the exciting days to come

Day 3, Friday, September 15

The highly anticipated moment has finally arrived - Märklin IMA Days is here! We will embark on an exciting train journey to Göppingen, where the enchanting world of Märklin awaits. As we step off the train at the station, our first surprise awaits us - a captivating display of vintage locomotives from Germany and its neighboring countries. The sight of these majestic trains will transport us back in time and evoke a sense of awe.

During previous events, attendees were treated to the breathtaking beauty of locomotives such as the Bavarian S 3/6, renowned for its elegance, the iconic BR 01 with its striking Wagner smoke deflectors, the versatile BR 75 accompanied by a delightful commuter train, and the formidable F series. Additionally, the exhibition featured a fascinating array of electric and diesel locomotives, each with its own unique charm and significance.

To make the most of our Märklin Days experience, We highly recommend embarking on the factory tour on the first day itself. This exclusive opportunity is available only on Friday and Saturday. By taking this tour, we will have the privilege of witnessing firsthand the craftsmanship and innovation that go into creating Märklin's renowned model trains. It is a chance to delve into the intricate details and precision that make these models so remarkable.

Some of you may want to spend more time observing all the locomotives which is fine however to ensure that you don't miss out on the factory tour we recommend taking the factory tour early in our itinerary. It will set the stage for an immersive and unforgettable Märklin Days experience, allowing us to appreciate the brand's legacy and expertise right from the start. Day 4, Saturday, September 16

Today, we will return to Göppingen by train, and the day holds a multitude of highlights beyond the museum and factory. Upon arriving at the station, you have the option to indulge in a captivating train ride or even experience the thrill of a cab ride. For a unique adventure, a vintage railbus awaits to transport you to the renowned track construction company, Leonhard Weiss.

At Leonhard Weiss, you will have the opportunity to witness an impressive collection of track maintenance vehicles, including tamping machines and catenary repair engines. This fascinating glimpse into the world of track construction provides a deeper understanding of the intricate processes involved in maintaining and upgrading railway infrastructure. Marvel at the efficiency and power of these specialized machines as they work tirelessly to ensure smooth and safe train operations.

As we bid farewell to the Märklin IMA event, we embark on our last day of exploration. Today, we have the opportunity to explore the vast marketplace bustling with over 100 vendors offering a wide array of model train-related products. From miniature locomotives to intricate accessories, this marketplace is a haven for train enthusiasts and collectors alike. Take your time to browse through the stalls, as you may stumble upon unique treasures or find inspiration for your own collection.

In addition to the vendors, numerous train clubs have brought their meticulously crafted layouts to be admired. These awe-inspiring displays showcase the artistry and dedication of fellow enthusiasts, offering a wealth of ideas and inspiration. Explore the intricately detailed landscapes, marvel at the realistic train movements, and allow your imagination to soar as you envision possibilities for your own model railway. Before concluding our time at Märklin, we have the option to return to the station and embark on a ride up the Geislinger Steige. This scenic journey promises breathtaking views and a memorable experience as we traverse the steep incline. As we venture through its quaint streets, we will be captivated by the beauty and significance of its architectural treasures. Among the notable attractions are the magnificent churches, the majestic town hall, the abundance of half-timbered houses, the enchanting castle, and the delightful "Little Venice" area.

To ensure a comprehensive and informative experience, a professional guide will accompany us, providing insightful commentary and stories about the history and significance of each location. Rest assured, the guide will deliver the tour in English, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the rich heritage of Esslingen.

If time permits, we can further delve into the abundant attractions that Stuttgart has to offer. Today's adventure takes us aboard the sleek and efficient ICE train as we journey to Ulm. The journey is brief, and soon we find ourselves in the presence of a remarkable sight—the town boasting the world's highest church tower. Soaring to an impressive height of 161.5 meters, the tower stands as a testament to human achievement.

For those in the group who enjoy a sporty challenge, there is an opportunity to ascend the tower's 768 steps. Scaling this architectural marvel rewards climbers with breathtaking views from the top. However, if you've already conquered this feat in the past, you may choose to skip the exercise this time around and simply admire the tower from the ground.

But the excitement doesn't end there! As a special treat, we will embark on the Ulmer Spatz (Sparrow), a charming vessel that will carry us along the picturesque Danube. This delightful river cruise allows us to soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape as we navigate between the towns of Ulm and Neu-Ulm. Take in the serene atmosphere, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the unique perspective offered by this leisurely boat ride.

After enjoying an early breakfast, we will check out from our accommodations and make our way back to Frankfurt Airport via train. It is here that we will bid farewell to the enchanting destinations we have explored and the wonderful experiences we have shared.

As we depart, take a moment to reflect upon the cherished memories and newfound knowledge acquired throughout our trip. The connections made, the sights witnessed, and the adventures embarked upon will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

An initial deposit of $900.00 per person is required to secure the reservation. We accept Checks or Credit Cards. Seats are limited, so reservations will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis. Final payment must be made by July 31, 2023. Please contact us before you send any payments, so we can make sure that there are still seats available. Rates are subject to change including but not limited to increases in applicable taxes, government-imposed fees, and exchange rates.

Cancellations:

All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations fees before July 31, 2023 will be $800.00 per person plus any deposits lost to railroads or any other facilities! Cancellation fees between August 01and August 31 will be $1200.00 plus any deposits lost to railroads or any other facilities! After August 31, 2023 there will be no refund for cancellations.

Refunds:

No refunds will be made for unused portion of the tour after travel begins.

Proof of Citizenship:

It is the traveler’s responsibility to provide proper documentation of proof of U.S. citizenship. Married women traveling with documentation in their maiden name must supply a marriage license. Failure to possess the required documentation may result in denied boarding. No refunds will be made if passengers are denied boarding. For non-U.S. citizens, please contact the appropriate destination embassy or consulate for the correct document requirements. Your passport must be valid till March 2024 or longer.

It is expressly understood that Rey and Roman Plaszewski are not responsible for any delays for any flight or non-operation of any flight hereunder due to any reasons beyond their control, including work stoppages, labor strikes, or Forces Majeure and shall have no liability of any nature whatsoever relating to flight delays, including (but not limited to) liability for damage related to shortened vacation time, inconvenience or hardship, additional expenses or any other form of damage.
