Prototype: The L-181/L-180 was family of very similar 3-axeled armored cars manufactured by the Swedish industrial firm of AB Landsverk beginning in 1933. The L-181 was the first production model, built on a Mercedes-Benz chassis and powered by a Mercedes-Benz V6. The L-180 utilized a Büssing-NAG chassis and a more powerful Büssing V8. Typical armament was a 20mm cannon in the turret and two or three light machine guns. The cars also had a dual wheel-base, with a second steering wheel in the rear, which allowed for instant direction change in combat situations and made it easier to negotiate rough terrain on the battlefield. L-181/L-180s were sold to Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, and the Netherlands. While not ordered by the Swedish army, five L-180s such as the example here ended up in Swedish service; they were originally ordered by Ireland but the beginning of the Second World War prevented their delivery.
PLEASE NOTE: These models are all handmade and painted which makes every one unique. This means the paint patterns may vary a little and the detail parts like sandbags, turret tracks, antennas, etc. may also be arranged differently. This was also the case in real life. These models are very prototypical.
