Albula-Link AGZ With the purchase of modern articulated trains for the Albula line, RhB is continuing the renewal of its rolling stock, which began with the "Allegra" flat-bed trains.
Originally, Stadler Rail ordered seven six-car trains. After a change of business, the order was changed to six seven-part air-conditioned commuter trains, which were supplemented by a control car. With the crash-optimized, adapted to the "Allegra" trains control car eliminates the re-tightening, and turning times can be shortened. A Ge 4/4 III or an "Allegra" always pulls on the ascent towards St. Moritz.Initial operating experience has been gained since the Ski World Cup in February 2017 - but still without a control car.
A seven-part composition, each with a Ait 578, A 570 and AB 572 and the four second-class B 577, B 573, B 574 and Bi 576 a total of 90 seats in the first class, 217 seats in the 2nd class and 13 folding seats and 4 wheelchair seats. Each AGZ has in addition to the classic seating a family compartment with children's play area, a leisure compartment and a photo compartment with special panoramic windows.
