Product Features and Details
In accordance with the number of passengers, most coaches were third class of the D.I.23 design. In the block train, the third class coaches appeared lower, because they did not have the felt inset between the chassis and the body of the coach. This was intended to soften bumps in the 1st and 2nd class coaches and thus ensure more comfort. Slots in the skylights were used to ventilate all coaches, which were covered from the outside by metal caps, which went down in history as "Bachmann caps". The slots were opened from the inside by a poleoperated slider.
